"I was born a Proud Dwarf of Orzammar, and by the stone, I am going to die a Proud Dwarf of Orzammar. No amount of exiles, backstabbing brothers or hordes of darkspawn is going to change that."
Valon Aeducan was the second son of King Endrin of House Aeducan, and the pride of his house. Framed for murder by his younger brother, Bhelen and ultimately exiled, Valon was rescued from the Deep Roads by Duncan and inducted into the ranks of the Grey Wardens. Grateful for a chance to still fight darkspawn as any proper Dwarven Warrior should, Valon had no idea just how important of a role he would play in ending the Fifth Blight.

Overview[edit | edit source]
Physical Appearance[edit | edit source]
As opposed to the blonde hair and light brown hair colors of his brothers, Valon inherited the black hair of his mother. He takes great care of both it and his beard, which he braids in the same style as Lord Harrowmont.
Personality[edit | edit source]
A Patriot of Orzammar if there ever was one. Valon takes Orzammar's problems very seriously and his greatest wish is to live to see the day when a new Golden Age begins in Orzammar.
Talents and Skills[edit | edit source]
"I can't tell what's sharper, my boy, your blade or your tongue."
- King Endrin Aeducan
Born into a life of politics as a member of the royal family gave Valon a cunning mind, which is reflected in everything he does, from deceiving his opponents on the battlefield to cleverly steering a simple conversation in the way he wants it to go so he can get what he wants. Every word that came out of his mouth was carefully planned and marked the signs of a talented leader.

After the death of the Archdemon, Valon assumed the command of Ferelden's Grey Wardens.
After the death of the mother, Valon could not help but grow worried about what Morrigan was planning to do with the Archdemon's soul. Growing nervous about whether it might have been a mistake to let her have her Old God Baby, he tracked her down with the help of Ariane and Finn.
When he found her, she reassured him that she meant no ill will towards him and the child born from her union with Loghain was normal and healthy. Well, about as normal as a baby with an Old God's Soul inside him could be. She then offers one more piece of helpful information, a way to remove the blight from his body so he can live to an old age instead of the ten or fifteen years he may have left.
