Kenna Amell was a former mage of the Ostwick circle who was recruited into the Grey Warden's at the beginning of the 5th blight. She later became known as the "Hero of Fereldan" due to her large role in uniting Fereldan against the threat and ultimately landing the killing blow on the Archdemon.
World state is that of Aya Hawke (Champion) and Bryoni Lavellan (Inquisitor).

Kenna is 5’4” and of average build for a mage; not particularly chubby, but not displaying any definition of physical aptitude either. She has green eyes and is supposed to wear glasses for reading, though she rarely does as she hates the way they look on her. A studious individual, Kenna is considered pale for her lineage and doesn’t quite match her ancestors tanner skin tones until she spends an extended time outdoors. Her most notable feature is her wild red hair. She prefers to wear it down, but other common hairstyles are either a messy bun or french braid. She hates ponytails as they give her a headache.

Kenna established a reputation at the Circle for being honest, reliable, hard-working, organized, and responsible. Many professors trusted her with various tasks and even her peers sought her out for help in regards to their problems or studies. As a warden she took her responsibility and vows seriously. Though she prefers to follow rather than lead, she was glad to have a defined hierarchy within the group and took her duty as the leader seriously. Analytical, cautious, and preferring to have all the details before proceeding she could be slow to make a definitive call; however, once she has reached a decision she expects no delays in accomplishing it. She is not one for taking uncalculated risks, improv or impulse, and struggles to adapt. She holds her emotions close and is more of a listener than a talker. Kenna is proficient in primal magic preferring spells that deal with the elements of flame and lightning. Powerful, but not precise her battle style focuses on AOE spells and she is excellent at taking and controlling space during a fight, easily determining how and when the enemy should approach. According to Morrigan, she is also a passable shapeshifter though she can only manage to transfigure herself into a spider or a bear.
Adept at following recipes, Kenna has some notable skill as an alchemist and is able to produce a variety of potions, tonics and poisons. She possesses a fine understanding of the different herbs and components of alchemy and their reactions with each other, but has made no attempts upon improving or altering any given recipes at this time. She prefers to allow those who have devoted their life to alchemy to make those changes for her.
An avid reader, Kenna has a store of odd knowledge and trivia at her disposal. She also enjoys research and so is constantly adding to that arsenal allowing her to provide conversational input on even the most obscure topics.

Displaying magic at the rather late age of 11, Kenna was a rare circle mage in the fact that she had an established life before the circle, complete with memories of her family. She remembers both her parents as well as her three younger sisters and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a 4th. After the templars took her away she found it hard to adjust to the Circle at first as she felt incredibly isolated and afraid. Once she made friends however, she found life at the tower to be bearable, if not pleasant. Before the arrival of the warden she had plans to focus on primal magic and had dreams of becoming a mentor to apprentices.
