William Hawke, better known as the Champion of Kirkwall, is a human mage of the Hawke family.

Physical Appearance[]
William Hawke stands at 6'1'". His black hair is brushed back and, as of 9:40, the sides are shaved. His eyes are a piercing white, contrasting with his dark hair and tan skin. He keeps his facial short and scruffy. Around his eyes is a faded tattoo Hawke got as a young man. His ridiculously muscled arms are also tattooed with red markings. Hawke is incredibly toned, adorned with muscles that are used less and less as the need for his martial skills decline.
Personality[]
William Hawke prides himself on being able to make a joke out of any situation. Often, this trait rubs people the wrong way. At his core, Hawke is kind and considerate. Like his wife Isabela, Hawke loves money.

William Hawke is a Force Mage. He was trained by his father in both magic and martial skills. He's proven himself to be proficient in both area.

History[]
The son of Malcolm Hawke and Leandra Amell, William has lived in many places throughout Ferelden. His father was a mage whose gifts were passed onto both William and Bethany, Malcolm's daughter. Malcolm refused to submit himself to the Chantry's rule; he kept his abilities a secret and taught his children to do the same. Therefore, the family was constantly on the move to avoid templar hunters. Ten years before the Blight began, the family settled in the village of Lothering, building a home on the outskirts and making a life where they wouldn't forever be on the run. Though Leandra worried constantly that the templars would one day catch up with them, Malcolm's teachings were sufficient to keep them safe. He died 7 years later, leaving William responsible for the welfare of his mother and younger siblings. When the Blight began, Carver enlisted in King Cailan's regiment, saying the horde spilling from the Korcari Wilds meant their home would be quickly overrun if the darkspawn were not defeated immediately. William remained in Lothering to safeguard the family. Carver appeared on their doorstep almost a month later, exhausted and injured. King Cailan had been betrayed and slain at Ostagar, and the horde was advancing on Lothering. Though William and the others were making plans to leave, they fled their home before they were fully prepared.

Companions[]
Carver - Hawke's brother. Through all their turmoil--displacement, jealousy, and near-death experiences, they've been there for each other. Not just brothers, friends.
Isabela - Hawke's love. He has managed to tie her down (mostly). They both understand each other's feelings and are comfortable with the other's independence. Most importantly, they love each other!
Anders - One of Hawke's best friends, or so he thought. Felt an immense betrayal at his destruction of the Chantry, but couldn't bring himself to kill him. Part because he knew it'd only make him a martyr for terrorism, and partly because he was still Hawke's friend.
Aveline - Like a sister to Hawke. Helped her in her courtship of her fellow guardsman Donnic.
Sebastian - A good friend, who Hawke had to let go after disagreements about Anders's fate.
Varric - Hawke's best friend. He's been there since almost the beginning, the two of them are virutally inseparable.
Fenris - Hawke has a great deal of respect for Fenris, and finds him very attractive.
Merrill - Like a little sister to Hawke. He just wants her to be safe and innocent forever.
Tallis - Didn't know her long, but greatly admired her skill.
