Feriah Brosca is a Dwarven warrior and ally to the Hero of Ferelden, aiding them in the quest to prevent the Fifth Blight.

Physical Appearance[]
Standing at 4'3 with a very muscular build, Feriah stands a slightly shorter and wider than the average Dwarf. She sports half shaved, and tightly braided dark hair. A slightly faded mask-like tattoo streaks across her eyes, accompanied by several hard-earned scars.
Personality[]
Feriah possesses a deep need to be in control of any environment she's in. Plagued by constant paranoia, she cannot stand to be in a situation where she thinks herself to be vulnerable. Emotionally isolated and deeply withdrawn, Feriah prefers to connect axe-to-kneecap rather than heart-to-heart.
Talents and Skills[]
Aside from the obvious: killing things, her most impressive talent would be her aptitude for sculpting. With a slab of rock or a lump of clay, she can make anything her mind can conjure up.
Biography[]
Feriah was born in the year 9:06 Dragon to Temrel and Kalah Brosca in Dust town. Being born to casteless parents, Feriah has never had much love for Orzammar. Rica Brosca and her younger sibling, had to find work for the Carta boss, Beraht. Prior to this, the two siblings swept streets to survive. It was because of the rejection of her culture that she rejected it right back.
Instead of becoming a smith or merchant, Feriah had bigger things in mind. She wanted to become a traveling adventurer, slaying dragons and toppling giants. However these things were destined to stay dreams. With the dissappearancecof her father, Feriah took up the business of selling elicit goods to those that Orzammar had deemed unfit for polite society for the Carta. Until the unthinkable happened.
The Darkspawn Dilemma[]
While attempting to make a name for herself outside of the Carta, Feriah and her band of merchants uncovered something no one could have expected: what appeared to be a long forgotten, unofficial entrance to The Deep Roads. Why it had not either been sealed or been a fount for Darkspawn was a question no one could answer. Whatever mysteries it may have held, to Feriah it only promised two things: valuable artifacts and-more importantly-adventure.
It took days to fully uncover the partially buried entrance. What lay before Feriah and her compatriates was the entrance to a subterranean labyrinth that none of them could navigate. This was simply a setback however, and as the spirit of adventure overtook them, it was decided that they would venture into the forbidden tunnels and simply remember where the way they came.
Within hours, they were lost. The band of would-be explorers succumb to blaming each other for their situation. It was not long after this that they would discover why the Deep Roads were abandoned. The Darkspawn came in numbers too high to count. The group was separated and Feriah hid, hoping her friends had done the same. She wandered the dark, empty tunnels for days. Her only company were the screams of her friends and the screeches of the tainted monsters. On the fourth day, just as Feriah was sure she would be ambushed by a Darkspawn that used to be a friend or die of starvation and thirst, did she find the comforting light of the sun.
Feriah was the only survivor of their expedition. The trauma of this incident marked Feriah with constant anxiety and paranoia, along with an intense fear of Darkspawn all things subterranean.
The Berserker[]
Feriah will not share much from her time as a sword-for-hire, likely because it is so heavily tied with the trauma of her ordeal. Nevertheless, word of the Dwarf who survived a legion of Darkspawn spread quickly. Many a mercenary company approached her with offers she couldn't refuse. Though she had practically no experience, Feriah found it quite easy to simply run into a battle, swing wildly, and hope she wasn't struck by a stray arrow. She had finally found her grand adventure. Though she would never forget the price it came at.
At some point during her career, Feriah undertook the painful procedure of having a tattoo applied to her face. Across her eyes, she requested a mask under which she could hide her face from the world.
The Warden[]
While working for Beraht, Feriah was forced to participate in a celebratory Proving for the Grey Wardens which she eventually won. However a few moments later, her true identity was revealed causing outrage among those in attendance as the casteless were forbidden to participate. Feriah was apprehended and, through bribery, ended up in Carta's prison cells since Beraht wanted to punish Feriah himself. Feriah however escaped, killed Beraht, and became a Warden after Duncan used the Right of Conscription.
The Blight[]
When the Fifth Blight struck, Feriah wanted to be as far away as possible from the encroaching Darkspawn horde. Being a Warden was never what she wanted. Though leaving Orzammar behind caused her no greif. Having been dragged to Ostagar, she undertook the joining with the band of recruits who would one day become the Heroes of Ferelden.
It was here she met the future heroes of Ferelden and their self appointed leader: Varian Mahariel. Much of the party's adventure is well documented in histories of the Fifth Blight. Though, while completing their journey through the Frostback Mountains, they encountered an Avvar woman by the name of Sigrid. Sigrid, being banished from her tribe and seeing this as an opportunity to score some free loot off of the inept-seeming group, offered to guide them through the deadly mountain range.
The two eventually formed an unlikely friendship. Eventually turning into something more. Once the Blight was ended and the party unofficially disbanded, Sigrid and Feriah would later adopt a child together, though family life could not temper the Berserker's blade.

The Party[]
Feriah's relationship with the party at large is largely positive. Due to her distant nature, making connections with the other members of the group turns out to be quite the struggle.
